Semiotics: icon, index, symbol

1) Icon: Index: Symbol: Icon: Index: Symbol: Icon: Index: Symbol: 2)  Why are icons and indexes so important in media texts? I think It's because people are more drawn to an actual image rather than a text, it's easier for them to remember what they just read or help them understand it more.  One of the main reasons is that the images have bigger impact on people. They don't have to concentrate and think about it when they see an icon, also the colors might draw extra attention.  Icon and index are also international.  3 )  Why might global brands try and  avoid symbols  in their advertising and marketing? It's because symbols are a cultural knowledge, and there are a lot of cultures and communities in the word, but the brands and companies want to be international. The icons and indexes have the same understanding all over the word, which gives an opportunity for the companies to reach for people all around the word.

It tells us that we should live a full life because you don't know where it will end. Oppositional: The ad tells us that we should commit crime and not fell guilty or ashamed. You don't have to become a better person, because media industry doesn’t care about your personality. RbK advert starring 50 cent   First thing we see, is that the advert is divided into two images : a picture of a rapper- 50 cent, and other picture of a fingerprints.    On the image on the left the lighting is really dark, the person almost blending in the background , which might symbolise his dark past, and how it's a part of him. Top lighting really brings out his serious and determined face expression. His hat is also an army print hat, which might suggest how unsafe he might fell sometimes and how he used to fell the need to hide himself.  On the right image there are fingerprints that might symbolise his identity, or the crime he had committed. The quote on the upper right corner of the ad is referring to him being shot 12 time and still surviving. It's also typed in font that is used on police stations, which might tell us about his criminal past.  Lastly there is a caption in a middle saying 'i am what i am'. It might symbolise that he&#

Nowadays I watch most of my films on Netflix on my phone, but when I'm watching something with my
